De Halve Maan Brewery located in the historic city of Bruges, Belgium, commonly labeled "Venice of the North" is installing a pipeline connecting their brewery to their bottling facilities. This marks a historical event within the piping industry as another pipe line has never been made for this particular need before. The growing popularity of quality beer is creating an entirely new subdivision of the pipe, valve and fitting industry. This is calling for an increasing need specifically for stainless steel and copper products due to their conduciveness to sanitary requirements. Nevertheless it will be fascinating to see if this project is successful and the concept is adapted by other companies in the industry.
